Prayer of forgiveness and salvation

Let us very short look at the essential about forgiveness, and to receive the salvation from God in the name of Jesus Christ.

1. Dear Lord, I ask you in the name of Jesus to forgive all my sins.
    I ask of forgiveness and cleansing from sinful thoughts and acts.
    I wish to have a new and better life in the believing of you, Jesus.
    Help me to live near you, Jesus.
    Thank you for saving me, Jesus. Amen.

2. If you own a Bible or a New Testament, read every day a part, f.i. a chapter or two. Mostly it will be best to start with the gospel of John. If you read chapter 1, 2 and 3, you will very fast have some good words from God to memorize, and also the new life in Jesus Christ as his "newborn" disciple. Go on and read chapt. 4 when Jesus met the woman of Samaria who became a witness for Jesus to her own countrymen.

3. To pray is the most important part in a Christians life. To pray, or just talk with Jesus, is very important for every believer. Both personally and together with others in groups or in the church.

4.  It is also naturally for every Christian to be a part of a good local Christian congregation or church. This is very clearly in the Book of Acts. Look up: (Acts 2,42   They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.)

This is some few easy advice to start the way of salvation together with Jesus.

Patience and confidence in the new life together with Jesus, are very important in the beginning. To "hold on" in the salvation and have trust in God and depend on the help from Him. All power of Heaven is to your disposal if necessary. But to believe is of essential importance.

Read in the Bible: Joshua 1, 5    " No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you.
 John 10, 27-29 says:27   "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
28   and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
29   " My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
(Read the whole chapter 10 in John).

This tells us that God never will leave us when we want to stay in Him. You will from now on never be alone. Jesus is always there for you. You can always pray to him no matter how, when or where, he will be there for you despite of place or circumstances.
He will always be there to help you, and he is listening to help you through!
