THE FUTURE OF THIS WORLD.
All of us are occupied in
our thinking about the future. How is the future of our
planet? It does not look too good, when we think about air
pollution,
high temperature in the air and in the water and icebergs which melts.
That condition may mean extreme conditions when it comes to rain and
drought in different parts of the world. These things have to do with
the physical part of human life. But what about man itself?
The human nature.
Some are of the opinion that all human are
fundamental good. Others say that all human are fundamental bad. The
truth is may be just in the middle. The Bible talks a lot about the
changes of the human nature in connection with "the last days" Last
days is an expression the Bible uses just before the great holocaust,
which starts with the rapture, i.e., the believers being taken home to
heaven.
From bad to worse.
We have discovered that all possible situations, in
the nature and in the hearts of mankind go from bad to worse in our
days. There are more killings, more corruption, more thefts, more
unrighteous judgements then before. There are long lines of people
before the prisons, the hospitals, the judgementseats a.s.f. It seems
that we are not able to make room for truth and righteousness and many
people suffer because of that.
What does the Bible say?
Are we able to find a passage in the Bible about this
concrete situation, or is the old Book silent? No, the Bible has many
passages that give many details. Let me only take one of them. Math..
24.ch. from the 5. to the 8.verse.
"Many will come in may name and they will say: "I am
Christ, and they shall deceive many."
The Bible tells
about a person who is going to direct the future of people in a
special way. The Bible calls him the Antichrist, and informs us that
there have already come many antichrists and that the spirit of
Antichrist is already here.
Antichrist is going to be the great Deceiver, and his
name has also the meaning, "in stead of"" a false copy, if you like.
Verse 6 is very familiar for our ears. "Your are
going to hear about wars and rumours of war." And then verse 7:
Peoples shall stand up
against other peoples, kingdom against kingdom and there will
be hunger, earthquake, pestilence a.s.f.
It is not necessary to comment on this passage. All
of us read newspapers and look at TV. Some of you may have taken part
in battles in war, helped in times of accidents and felt on your body
what it means.
We shall notice two different expression in this
text, The first one "the end has not yet come". It means that worse
things will come to pass after the first "explosion" The second
expression is: " This in only the beginning to the birth pangs."
I have asked;
What about the future for mankind? Without Jesus Christ and faith in
Him the future is very dark for this planet. It is only one thing that
can save us from the coming holocaust: To be born again, to know
through prayer and faith in the greatest of all names Jesus.. To know
that your name is written in the book of Life in heaven.
It is given us only one name under heaven by which we
can be saved, and that is the name of JESUS.
Our Saviour got that name because he should save us from our sins.
Faith, or to believe is to trust Him with all your heart, even you do
not understand everything about God and His Son Jesus.
Jesus died for you on the cross. Receive him by
praying the prayer of a sinner. He will receive you because he has
said: "The person who comes to me I will in no wise cast out. He takes
your burden. His blood is cleansing you. You are clean and you are
free. You are ready to go into your own future together with your best
friend, Jesus. Your are complete secure, what so over is going to
happen with this planet. God bless you richly !
